How to pay your Greek taxes
In order to pay your Greek taxes, first you have to acquire from taxisnet the offical id note for payment. Inside the id note a 30digit code appears which is a unique number for each tax. This 30digit code can be used as many times you want, until the full payoff of the tax.
All kind of taxes verified from taxisnet (property tax, income tax, road tax, fines,etc) can be paid by choosing one of the following 3 methods:
a) Print the relevant id note and go directly to a Greek bank and pay to the cashier.
b) Through your Greek e-banking, using the 30digit code. Most of the Greek banks on e-banking they have a sector ''Public Authorities'' and then payments ''Verified Tax Obligations'' for Piraeus Bank, ''Assesed Tax Debts'' for National Bank and ''IRS verified debt collection'' for Eurobank.
c) Direct transfer from your EU bank abroad using SEPA CREDIT TRANSFER. If you choose this method you are going to need only the following details:
BIC: BNGRGAA
IBAN Number: GR3901000230000000481090509
Remmitance Information: (here you enter the 30digit code of the id note from taxisnet)
Amount: xxx in €
Important info: When you are using SEPA CREDIT TRANSFER there is no need to enter any other information (words/letters, your name or the tax name). They only need the 30digit code without spaces. Also your bank should not ask for additional details such as name of the account owner or address of the recepient.
Although in some cases they ask, the details of the receipient and the bank are the following:
Account owner: Ministry of Finance
Owner address: Karageorgi Servias 10, Athens 10184
Bank of Greece
Address of the bank: El.Venizelou Ave. Athens 10250
The same applies when paying your road taxes using SEPA CREDIT TRANSFER, with only difference on the Iban number which is: GR6601000230000000481090508.
Other Information:
1. SEPA covers 34 European countries: the 28 Member States of the European Union plus Iceland, Liechtenstein, Monaco, Norway, San Marino and Switzerland.
2. There are no bank charges within SEPA CREDIT TRANSFER.
